Looks like news of steel rebar supplies being dumped on market before Chinas new rules requiring steel rebar to be of higher quality coming in to play soon. Regulations for higher quality likely means more vanadium demand.
Although, this means the short term price for rebar has sunk due to weak construction market and oversupply from suppliers offloading current stock at cheaper prices so as not to be caught holding stockpiles of worthless sub-grade rebar when the new rules come in.
Fingers crossed VR8 can finally lock in an off take off the back of the new regulations.
