At the end of the day, it is clear too me that what AVL will be mining is the fresh and transitional layers. They are the ones that drive the recovery rate. From rechttps://hotcopper.com.au/posts/45579948/single recollection further MET works were going to be done on the oxidised part of the deposit but can’t recall whether they were done, but in any event recoveries in those layers has never been as efficient and effective as per the MET studies when compared to the fresh and transition layers. I posted around this quite some time ago - in above embedded post - for those interested when I looked at the MET studies. That embedded post also talks more generally around mass recovery and refining recovery as well as the METs as well as how you look at overall recoveries. Obviously the embedded post was written before the BFS.
Also a while ago in - https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/49762280/single - I had a look at both the AVL and TMT feasibility studies and posted a few times in that thread at the time commencing with this embedded post. Obviously need updating for the BFS but the point is recovery rates depend on what part of the deposit is mined.
The recent AVL BFS with now a higher recovery rate suggests too me they will be focussing more on the fresh layers or updated METs have improved recoveries, than before.
At the end of the day, I see both companies getting to market so this constant debate on the threads of my deposit is better than yours is tiresome. And this comment is not directed at yourself btw but thought I would conclude by saying it anyway more generally. For one, I am thinking of expanding my vanadium holdings btw in other companies as well. For AVL my main concern has always been the slow progress here, albeit of late that has improved hence why I bought back in a little while ago.
