I know Li-Ion has had a materials cost increase... but there has been an underlying reason why they keep winning grid scale projects... part of that is established position - but AFAIK... they are still cheaper initial installs...
Until the relevant information about longevity, reduced fire risk etc are being costed into battery installs from the outset - we are running a race uphill
