Any suggestion of who this company might have been? or your friend was tight lipped?

I'm actually surprised with all these vanadium explorers reaching varying degress of being close to starting construction (or at least planning to) that there hasn't been any open interest from some of the big players...

If vanadium demand and VRFB's as some report will reach a tipping point in the near future, I would have thought there would be more activity from big companies to take out one of these explorers while most if not all are currently priced at pennies on the dollar, if you expect any future demand uptick.

I keep an eye out for such interest and wouldn't be surprised if a takeover offer comes at some stage for the best vanadium play of the lot.. For TMT or AVL, I would think if one were targetted individually, it would probably make sense that an attempt would be made to snap them both up and consolidate what is in the ground..

Personally what a snore fest that would be having a new company go back to square one and complete a DFS on the entire resource.

But anyway, it's just food for thought as you don't even hear the likes of BHP barely mention vanadium, so takeovers in this space I remain skeptical until there is at least a lot of smoke.
