I think of it as people leaving reviews for restaurants. Some people had bad service and are just p'd off so they want to post something negative. Some people want to let new customers know that there may be some negatives to be aware of. So I personally think of negative posters as useful despite their motives. Just have to be confident you know better than them and be happy with where you put your money.
Then there is grumpycat which fits no catagory so please let us know what your psychologist has for his diagnoses
