Lithium cars are also a fire and health hazard with their toxic smoke after they go up in flames, see the health damages caused to fire fighters in the USA and here. Burning lithium fires are toxic and (though not yet proven) it really won’t surprise me if lithium fires are later proven to cause lung cancer.
You’d think we as a species are smarter than this. You’re building massive energy storages and yet you’re using something that easily combusts? That’s the fastest way to cause damage to the wide spread population, yourself and your kids. Quite possibly scientists will later find a rise in lung cancer in our population corresponding to the rise in lithium car usages.
Message to our Government: Please don’t be stupid and pick lithium for anymore long battery storage use, vanadium is the way to go!
