I have asked that the theories I posted earlier be removed as I found the Tivan announcement from October 2023 which uses this chart and explains the difference at source.

As I understand it now, it it says whilst the overall Speewah resource is considered low grade that’s because of the amount of waste that needs to be removed but that the actual vanadium once it’s been beneficiated is very high grade …
So I guess it’s a question of balancing the costs of stripping to the value of the value products that can be retrieved and sold.
But given AVL’s recent announcement it was able to produce 99.9% pure vanadium pentoxide* I question the TVN chart’s analysis of other projects.
(* although notably this grade purity was in a laboratory situation at pilot scale - ie in real life bulk processing things often do not work the way the pilots do)
