how does having a low cost base come into it? People felt 12 shares of AVL for 1 share of TMT wasn’t a good sale price for them, AVL raised to 14 to 1 and accepted.
Are you going to tell someone’s grandma with a 2million dollar house in Melbourne’s inner east she should sell it for 500,000 because she bought it for $50,000 in the 70s? I don’t think so haha, shares are no different to any other asset.
In the end AVL and a majority of TMT shareholders reached an agreement for what both parties thought was reasonable.
I don’t know why you keep bringing it up.
