"The nation’s critical minerals industry will get a bigger boost in the budget, Treasurer Jim Chalmers said. “The critical minerals space is one of the reasons why there is so much attention from global and domestic investors, but we need to make sure we can attract and deploy that,” Chalmers said in an interview with Bloomberg in Canberra yesterday. The budget, which the treasurer will release tomorrow night, will probably record a second consecutive surplus."

Lets see what the corresponding action is, hopefully funding boosts to NAIF and/or ARENA and/or other government agencies in the minerals sector.

Regarding EPA, we are about 60 days since the appeal was lodged, I forget who but someone here contacted the EPA and asked how long the resolution would take and they stated "we endeavour for 60 days post last receipt of supporting evidence".

Assuming the 60 days quoted above, I would guess if the appeal was simple to dismiss using existing study/data that we would expect a resolution within 3 weeks.
