    Thanks, notned,
I appreciate the reasonable civility of your post, and I really appreciate that you have facts and examples to illustrate many of your opinions and positions.
As we are both long, we are mostly in agreement on our opinions about CLQ.

My responses to continue the conversation, address your points, and clarify my position:

LICENSING… I am aware of CLQ’s history, recent licensing, and trials in various sectors. For a long time I thought licensing was the way they would go. However I have inquired of them. They are flexible and they are pragmatic about opportunities, they will license when it it is advantageous; but the core strategy is to be a miner.

I did not say they will not enter into licenses at all. I said I do not think they will license the VANADIUM extraction technology. The basis of my assertion is my communications with IR, and my view of the importance of vanadium as a corporate target.

CRB AND OTHER DISASTERS…the early extraction deals give some examples of why licensing is not the primary strategy. CLQ technology was abandoned because the overall project failed or was mothballed. These failures were not caused by CLQ technology, but they prevented success of the CLQ technology. Hence the decision by CLQ to do it themselves.

AIR, PRAGMATISM, AND SELLING OFF THE WATER…I agree CLQ management is pragmatic and will move in whatever direction they need to. Point made . I admit I could be mistaken, but I do not think they will sell the water division. In any case it is not a pressing issue, and is years and years away were it to occur.

You mentioned that maybe this would occur to finance Sunrise. I think the chances of that happening are zero. CLQ already has at least $500 mil lined up plus the cash from the CR. I suspect they already have a $1 billion lined up.

VANADIUM SOURCING… My speculation is that a “Friedland-backed entity” will announce a sourcing deal…I think there are good chances CLQ will be involved, but acknowledge the real possibility that they may not be.

VANADIUM EXTRACTION TECHNOLOGIES…Costs are important and I have not done research on existing methods, nor are there figures from CLQ on their method. So we do not have a lot to go on here on any comparative advantage or disadvantage of CLQ. This subject has a bearing on vanadium sourcing and whether CLQ would do a deal in China; but all the necessary facts are not available to us. Still, it appears to me that the Clean iX method will have low opex. They have low C1 study costs on nickel, cobalt, scandium, and low costs proven on uranium and gold. The impression is that CLQ costs are low on Clean iX.

WHEN WE CAME TO THE PARTY…I realize that there are many who have been in the stock longer than I have. I do not claim to be especially early. One poster claimed he was in at 5 cents; others like yourself have been in since the “air” days. I have been in for over two years, I was originally interested in scandium and knew nothing about battery materials. Most of my position was acquired between 50 and 90 cents, average 70. I first entered at 60 cents and watched it tank to 35 cents.

So I am happy, but now crowing about it, and persistently adding as I am able. My enthusiasm has grown as I have learned more about the company. My position size is not creating my enthusiasm, it is the other way around: my opinions are affecting my position size.

But there is a lot of new money in CLQ and a lot of “new” awareness of water, scandium, and vanadium.

Just this February, after a post on scandium potential at CLQ (Fozza’s “$13.20 Valuation”), a reader from another thread breathlessly informed his non-CLQ readership about scandium; the readers on that thread being unaware, for the most part, of scandium as a potential, even though their own mine had a lot of it.

Also, I have been accused of bad intent by a small but vocal group. I have been accused of all kinds of things, without justification; several people have even accused me of deliberately attempting to cause financial losses of other posters.
So I wish to emphasize my good will and kind intentions, even to those who are already sitting on big profits

ASTRONOMY. Notned, I see an astronomical observatory on your avatar…a subject of interest. What’s your deal with it ? Atmospheric composition of Jupiter and Neptune, asteroid mining, cosmologist, Star Trek fan, or what ?

dumDog...thanks for the compliments. I also enjoy HC, lots of viewpoints and experience from different angles.

    Best to all and GLTAH
