There is one thing I really believe but it is up to you to think about it or dump it. Do not go bottom fishing during recessionary times. Buy stocks that are recession resistant then sell and buy Groth stocks after bottom. Many high fliers take months and sometimes multiple years to recover. When they do they zoom it is great. Look at chart of amazon after 2000 it took 8 years for recovery to take hold. Look at any banks from 2008 till to day. Look at Lynas after 2011. Read what Jan Van Ech says there are clues for spotting bottoms and we are not there yet. I am looking first for recession to bottom out which will happen long before it ends. Then look for individual stocks to show clear signs of recovering. I will miss bottom of individual stock by at least 10% doing this but that is far better than buying multiple times on the way down. Yes I will miss a few winners but there are many to choose from. Do what you think is best.
