Last week Vanguard went out and bought more than 42 million shares, acquiring something like 5.03% of Centro.
This week they went and sold 450,000 shares, which reduces that percentage to something like 4.98% of Centro. So guess what, they are no longer a substantial holder.
This looks VERY STRANGE.
Firstly the shares they sold were at 23c. Which is the worst price yet. So they were pretty keen to sell them.
I reckon they originally intended to buy 4.98%, and someone at Vanguard screwed up and they bought 5.03% BY MISTAKE. They didn't want people to know about it.
The alternative theory, is that they DID want people to notice them. But then why sell a token number of shares at worst price right afterwards.
STRANGE.
