31/5/25. U.S. markets finish flat.
Dow Jones +0.13%. SP500 -0.01%. Nasdaq -0.32%. Small Caps -0.35%. Banks -0.39%.Dow Jones
The Dow Jones is in a small consolidation near the top of its trend. The chart remains above its 5-DEMA and 20-DEMA.
Indicators are at or above their mid-lines - so trend remains up.
Stay with it until we see a definite end to the trend.
Commodities.Commodities Index -0.76%. Enetgy -0.95%. Base Metals -0.65%. Agriculture +0.49%. Gold -0.66%.
Except for Gold, the other Commodity charts are in bearish territroy. Gold is sideways in no-man's land.
ASX overnight futures finished up a little +0.09%.
Yesterday in Australia.
XJO up +0.3%. STW up +0.3%
The chart shows a tight consolidation at the top of its trend.
Chart shows two 5-Day EMAS - one based on the closing price and one based on the low of the day. Since 10 April, STW has finished above the 5-Day EMA (low of day). That's been a remarkably sustained up-trend. We rarely see trends sustain for so long.
Not much use worrying about it until we see definite signs of a retracement.
Take care.
