The XJO seems to be going down slow, as if it is assuming that super fund inflows and BTD investors will prop it up nomatter what Iran and the USA do. Arrogant XJO. Some say that pride comes before a fall.

There are many different possibilities for what Iran and the USA will do in the near future. There are very few things that are certain. One of the few things that I think is probable is that Trump and his advisors have become so blinded by the glittering prospects of short-term gains in their global chess game that they may not have the ability to quickly adjust to reality. In other words, I think that it is highly likely that there will be more military theatrics from Trump, Vance and Hegseth, using any excuse or maybe even without using any excuse.

For example, if Iran blockades the Strait of Hormuz then the USA will automatically use this an an excuse to hit Iran hard, probably including using their Fifth Fleet to protect the strait. This will then give Iran a legitimate excuse to sink some USA warships if they have the ability to do so. Then what would the USA do? Escalate again? The USA would risk losing an entire fleet, which would weaken the US navy so much that it could even trigger a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.

Already, Russia and China are apparently considering supplying nuclear warheads to Iran to act as a deterrent to Israel and America. It would make perfect sense and there would be nothing that Israel and America could do about it. So, well done, great peacemaker Trump.

Anyway, it is all just conjecture at this time. The only thing that is certain about what Iran will do next is that they will do something.

Getting back to the XJO. Another day or two of falls, even if they are modest falls, should show that the XJO is clearly into a correction. How far it goes down probably depends as much on what Trump does as on what Iran does. Trump may be a bigger threat to the XJO and world peace than Iran.

The XJO's new "post close trading session" does work. I put three orders into it after 4:11 pm today and one got filled instantly. There didn't seem to be many players dipping their toes in, so it may take a while before it becomes popular. It is definitely a positive addition to the trading toolkit.
