Given the outcome, apparently not enough of the right people - it least that was on an issue of global significance on which Australia was trying to provide leadership and for which Rudd had gained a massive mandate from mainstream Australians.
As for the 2020 Summit, as I recall that was in Canberra and did not involve flights to and accommodation at 5 star resorts in Asia. Yet again, it was about issues of great importance to Australia rather than the promotion of narrow sectional business interests.
How sickening it was to hear Abbott declaring that he had 'Team Australia' on board in Asia; as if a select group of self-serving big business chiefs and his media mates constitutes 'Team Australia'.
