I can bring to mind only one friend who still smokes and he only does over a beer on the weekend....I live in Napier 65,000 pop NZ, and very rarely do you see a smoker on the street, or lurking outside an office having a fag.

In China every second male is smoking, most everywhere , in restaurant's a table of 4 or 5 guys all puffing away while tables around them are people eating. Most major cities , of which there are many have their own tobacco co; and brewerie.
