    Michelef - good on you - in my husband's case, a defribillator might have saved his life. I have a close friend who had a similar, heavy attack in his late forties (he was also a smoker), but managed to get medical attention real quick; they gave him a stent then. Later a pacemaker; over the years he's had various procedures done. Now the heart problems are less manageable and he is due for another procedure, but he is in his seventies now.

    My husband died in 1993 - Kerry Packer had his heart attack in the early 90s, but the news from the East take forever getting to this God-forsaken place (which has its good points too!! - I hasten to add) - nowadays all the ambulances have defibrillators here too.

    I think Kerry Packer is o.k. - at least he is authentic - a WYSIWYG.
