Hi,

"Who would I be without my story?"

... or what are you, the "I" reading these words, now when free of thought.

Who is this "I" with the story? Where is this "I" in deep dreamless sleep, or before birth?

Alot of what passes as spirituality, imo, is to gain experience, to gain insight, to feel good or peace (which is OK but not the purpose). It is what Chogyam Trungpa calls spiritual materialism.

Ultimately, in my experience, true spritual practise or living gives me nothing, except the knowledge that I am more than what everyone and anything outside of me, as well as the beliefs and conditioning, says I am.

I am in the world but not of it.
