Vay, why do you say 'starting point'? He says he has gone well beyond altered states of consciousness and psychic powers. Is there a step further than this? He sounds pretty accomplished. To me it sounds like he lives what Tolle preaches but seems incapable of living himself!
Me, I'm consumed with money like most people! But I'd like a reliable escape route and something to work with and develop.
