I heard exactly the same thing and I was listening with some colleagues who all agreed - my take is that talks are definitely underway. Per my post last night the value that can be extracted is dependent on the amending of the 51% aussie ownership rule but I would not rule out a potential suitor taking a pre-emptive stake to keep other would be foreign owners at bay.

They kept talking about "consolidation". There will be no consolidation in the doemstic market only potential for consolidation is regionally or globally.

This was the only highlight in an otherwise dull AGM.
