    Singapores got the dollars and the new 777 already. Im pretty sure they have a mojor stake in REX. I think they would love to have a viable route from SYD-LAX direct. Also across the tasman to Christchurch ( like Emirates ) There is no other carrier except Air Tahiti, Air New Zealand and Qantas which flies from the east coast to The west coast of America. I think the regional areas are a big money maker for SQ
