This is what is in the Heartware Propsectus
`Currently, pre good laboratory practice ("GLP") animal trials are being conducted and GLP animal trials for the HVAD are planned to commence in early 2005.
Goto http://www.heartware.com.au/HW_Prospectus_web.pdf and goto Page 31 of 115 if you dont believe it.
Therefore Syringe must be wrong have not started trials with the HVAD. In any case they are years behind VCR.
As for the size, I cannot find the size of Heartware, I can only find the volume which is 45 cubic centimetres. Where VCR quotes their size in physical size rather than volume
