I wonder how the batteries could be replace?

I think a person with a mechanical heart so long as the batteries keep on ticking and the blood keep on pumping that person will keep on living
regardless of what diseases he or she would contract.

As a point of interest when so many aches and pains in the body would developed the batteries could be switched of to end a painful existence !
