I honestly believe in the long run, VCR will be in a much better position if US medicare is knocked back. It will be re-visisted again next year and if approved then, will give VCR a much better shot at gaining market share.

At the same time, approval now will be good, the patients must be considered here (thus my heart says we need approval), and the risk factor will be gone but VCR will miss out on a huge ammount of market share which will be grabbed by Thoratek.

Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh for the ill people, but its just as I see the scenario for VCR making money angle.
