Well Red, who knows. Maybe one day VCR and HTW might be as one and we'll have both ends of the market sewn-up! I seem to recall it (a poss takeover) being mentioned before...way back when they had their little US patent dispute in court in Florida a few years ago. Nothing much came out of it. The market is big enough for these companies to survive. Sort of like the car game really. Many different makes and models and lots of consumers, makes for a great market place with a stack of healthy competition. The big difference is there are only a few producers coming up to the market place and lots and lots of patients. In fact, there'll be even more patients in the future, going by the way society has let itself go. Obesity, diabetes, alcoholism and stress will take its toll on the human body, and it'll be the heart which will need the valve-grind and re-bore. Thats why I'm not too worried about which company is better. They are all good and they are all 'going for gold' in their own way. Its just that VCR is up there with great results to date, and they'll be the leaders till something better comes along...as is always the case in medical devices...(and cars)
