Hi guys
What I want to know and im sure everyone here does and everyone finds fascinating is the MOTIVE.
I mean he was 64yrs old living in a retirement village, he was twice divorced, had kids and grandkids, had a current aussie girlfriend, (yet the cops are saying he was a loner, I don't think so) To me a loner is someone with no friends, no girlfriend, not someone who is divorced multiple times with grandkids and a current girlfriend.
I could understand if he killed everyone at his WORKPLACE because I know how annoying work can be, trust me, yet he was retired living the life, spending his time going on cruises etc....
They said he was very well off, he was a property developer with lots of houses and units.
He didn't have a history of mental health problems, its not like he was a paranoid schitzophrenic who went off his meds.
This dosent make sense at all to be honest, and I love reading true crime and stuff like that.
He didn't suddenly SNAP, because he was in the hotel for 4 days, and he had like 40guns and thousands of rounds of ammo, so it was very well planned, so he didn't suddenly snap.
From my reading experience I think it was one of 4 things.
1.) he was diagnosed recently with a terminal illness like terminal cancer or he was told by his Dr he was going blind, and he wanted to go out with a bang.
2.) He was 64yrs old, he realised how mundane his existence was, like all our lives are mundane, )unless you are a Hollywood superstar or some kind of super model travelling the world and meeting the rich and famous every day) so he realised his life was so mundane that he didn't wanna die as a nobody, he wanted society to read about him in the decades to come, so he thought the easiest way to become "famous" was to do a big massacre.
3.) I read he liked to gamble, so he could have racked up huge gambling debts that he couldn't repay so he decided to go out with a bang.
4.) he targeted a place where young people go to, a concert, so maybe he had a very long grudge against young people his whole life (maybe even from his school days) when he was bullied or no one wanted to be friends with him when he was young, and he held a grudge against young people his whole life and he finally "snapped" at the age of 64 by targeting young people at a concert.
They are the only 4 "logical" things I can come up with as to motive.
It could have been a "perfect storm" of 2 or 3 of the above that pushed him over the edge, maybe he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he had gambling debts and he was sick of his mundane existence.
The police haven't mentioned a suicide note or any manifesto so no one will every know 100% why he did it.
We know he didn't suddenly snap, because he planned it
we know he didn't lose his job, because he was retired.
we know he didn't have money issues because he was a successful property developer
His brother is saying he is in shock that he was a nice guy etc... but of course his brother will say that, no one will ever say my brother was a vicious animal who had a crazy mind.
I wonder if now the killers family will try and make money off this, like his brother could write a book called (my crazy brother) or something like that? only in America as they say.
So lets all speculate in an educated way, what do you guys think the possible motive could have been?
We know in other US massacres there were motives, in sandy hook the guy killed those kids as revenge because his mother taught at the school, the Virginia tech shooter killed 32 because he was bullied at university, the orlando nighclub shooter was ISIS inspired and he hated gays.
So what do you guys think about possible motive to this vegas massacre?
cheers.
