If a pasty is crimped by a left-hander it is called a cock pasty. Right-handed crimpers make hen pasties.

Hi Noddan

For that perfect pastie cut the pastry in a perfect circle (using an upside down bowl) ... 150 - 200 mm dia ... use a wetted finger to moisten 1 cm around the circumference so the seam will seal when pressed after folding ... try not to over fill ... bingo !
