I can remember some beautiful pasties I regularly bought when we lived in Portland, Vic. They were vegetarian and had diced parsnips, potatoes and carrots with nutty brown rice. Can't quite recall the sauce but I've never tasted better. The lady who owned the café was English and now I come to think of it, her baked New York cheesecake and scones were pretty good also...
