    Your choices are numerous, depends on what you like. Some you may plant as companion plants but not eat. A small area does not mean you can't have a garden. Obviously the location of the beds, if up against a fence, may have some bearing on light duration. Someone may correct me but full sun means 5/6 hrs of direct sunlight.
    Also, remember that Perth soil is absolutely gutless so a good dose of organic matter is essential. Water run off is terrible so good bodied soil should help alleviate it.
    Amongst others I always put in a good crop of peas and carrots. Potatoes and keep up the herbs.
