• Graphene was first isolated in 2004 and China invested quickly to commercialize it.
• The Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute began product development in 2011.
• Deputy Director Hu Yidong says graphene’s advantages are clear, and they expect to make some $5 billion in sales over the next three years.
• Graphene makes copper alloy rod stronger than titanium. It makes mobile phone touch-screens more sensitive and graphene’s anti-corrosion properties help batteries last longer.
