Hello all.Been doing the auction rounds again today and have a further observation in relation to Vendor bidding.
Attended an auction today that was clearly overpriced with only half a dozen dozen neighbours plus myself.
The auctioneer is probably the best in the area and would have known that there was no bidders there HOWEVER,so WHY would he bid 3 times against himself(consecutively) with no bid from the crowd then pass it in?
If there is no bidder at 610 then there is not going to be one at 620 or 630 is there?
Wouldn't he had been better off calling off the auction ?
This VB farce is getting absolutely laughable.Will it not ultimately hurt the Vendor by this behaviour and make it harder to achieve any offer at all?

Totally bemused,miffed,confused and downright annoyed.
Should be totally banned IMHO
