Interesting statement Billy and when one considers that Germany produced over half of all fuels and ninety percent of high octane (aircraft ) fuel synthetically during the war, it is not hard to believe. Interestingly after the war the Americans took this technology home with them and declared it a war secret. Oil being far to cheap at the time and of course the yanks were exporters of oil and therefor had the oil weapon in their own hands so they did not want synthetic fuels stuffing things up. The question is of course why have they taken so long to get into synthetics when they have had the technology all the time.
