Who was it that sold approx 50 million shares on the last day of trading in Australia. It was done through some sought of hedging but possibly some Australian fund managers sold out early to ensure their positions. So in December you have a lot of US fund managers buying but even with a 25% reduction from the Australian index probably not that many Australian managers selling. Does anyone know whether the US S&P has included all Newscorp shares in the index or just the freely tradable ones which is only about 50% of the stock.
