It is relatively easy to understand what people mean by words such as soon if you refer to their past use. For example:

There is a natural progression here and the good news is that the drilling programme is ahead of schedule and will start soon. To clearly understand what they mean by soon we see on:

And now
28 April 2011 A full update on Chernetska will be released in DUE COURSE.
The revolving sequence here appears to be intrinsically connected to the drilling mud as it circulates during the drill process. The timeframe has therefore been established that soon or in due course relate to the length of time needed to drill. In this case 9months if there are no problems. If there are problems, they will naturally be announced in due course.
