Hey Gassy... since you first asked me that question in November/.009c the ANP share price has put on well over 300%, and my view hasn’t changed that ANP will still see far more upside than NEU over the next 12 months. I believe from current levels we are looking at another 100% upside in the near term... and much higher should our pending announcements pan out with good indications and favourably.
With ANP it isn’t just about our drugs but is about antisense Gen2 validation on a global scale and being part of the new ‘hot drug” type. To some extent the pharmaceutical and drug industry can be a bit like the fashion industry where trends and seasonal changes transpire based on long awaited validation and reignited possibility... imv antisense will soon become the big fashion trend over 2012/13/14. With drugs in the antisense pipeline coming to maturity in the near term i can see all the biggest healthcare hedge funds/brokers instos etc all having more exposure to antisense in their portfolios. That will see ISIS and partners rise, be taken over or tied-in in the process. The wheels have already begun to turn here and it just so happens it is on the turn of the market when a bio boom appears to be taking shape. So imo antisense/isis etc will be similar to being the hottest commodity during the commodities boom... with all sorts of validation being given to the technology how could it not be. Also, something doesn’t necessarily have to be the the biggest it can be more about reach through various applications of the technology... ATL1103 may be primed initially for a small market compared to what other bios are trialling for but antisense itself will reach far and wide over many markets, and ANP are masters of the trade and have a big future long after ATL1101/2/3.
So it’s not just about our 3 drugs in development but is also about continuation and the windows that are being opened at present.
Personally, i think it’s become clear what the market reacts to when it comes to small cap bios... and some rise off of the success of a possible concept - yet 8 out of 10 still fail. To get one that will go the distance on the back of an actual model ultimately becomes the difference between those that rise then fall, and those that rise and go on to become something larger than the general bio success story IMO.
Anyway... looking at the chart the small volume sell down on Friday appears a good indicator as to just how many loose shares there are held by day traders and left at this level.... not many left so should see some more upside shortly!
Good luck for the week coming!
