There has been a bit of positive sentiment about iron ore with spot prices approaching a 100 bucks. In addition there was a good article in the AFR on FMG's magnetite deposits and how they are well viewed in China. Stage should be set for the 4 announcements due in the next 3 weeks (assuming they want them wrapped up before the Christmas Party).
I thought that the recent move from AGO might be buying in anticipation of news, but MGX and FMG have made similar recent moves so it seems it the sector as a whole.
