As many of us hardened holders might recall, some years back we hacked into PC (I did on multiple occasions) in relation to the concept of GPs treating patients in the clinic (at the coalface) - the fact that this was the obvious place for a 'one and done' treatment and what this would potentially mean for a product like LANI.

Here is part of one of PC's responses to me 3 years ago (almost to the day):
"Whist there is merit in it, there are real implementation difficulties in executing the strategy. There would need to be changes to the long standing respective professional demarcations to achieve the outcomes you have described. Mind you none of those issues apply with the use of the product from stockpiles, so there you are on the money."

Well, lo and behold, I've just discovered that most of the LANI Efficacy and Safety Clinical Trial sites are - you guessed it - at local GP clinics!!!!
Hallelujah! Now we are cooking with gas, especially with the rate of Influenza in the US at the moment.

Here we were, somewhat concerned about the formality of trials in enough hospitals and patients potentially already being days down the track with Influenza and just how effective in these scenarios LANI might be. Well, treating onset of symptoms at the GP is the holy grail.

If only we could get a simple Plumb update. Something like: Given the high incidence of Influenza, particularly in the US, we are on track to complete our LANI Phase 2 Efficacy & Safety Trials by March 2014.
