G, If you're asking me whether the SP of actual producers is more sensitive to spot price movements than it is with perennial wannabes, then we both know the answer (an emphatic 'yes').
What impact BHP's Ni closure would have on the spot market is a much more of open question. In the very ST it might give spot an upward bump, but I'm of the view that it would be neutralised reasonably quickly by the Indo supply complex juggernaut.
Yeah agreed re- the recent BS announcement. Just a fairly naked attempt to stimulate some hopium amongst the new faces who don't know the context or history... or what's coming.
