I really enjoy your technical views and think they are important to consider in any trading strategy..
That said, golds path (whilst maybe endorsed by the technicals) can also be determined by fundamentals.
The GOFO rate is telling a big big story - Not to detract from your "descending triangles" Backwardation in the gold market is highly unusual - and it is pointing to possibly significant physical supply issues..
Perhaps the charts will endorse this, but there is a BIG story brewing/developing in gold, and its a whole lot bigger than "when will the FED taper".
Shorts could get squeezed very very hard
