Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K. will begin offering above- market rates for clean energy produced by homes and businesses......

...........Under the plan, homes and business that install qualified generators will be able earn above-market rates on excess electricity sold to the local supplier.

U.K. power for delivery in the 12 months through March 2011 is trading at about 3.9 pence a kilowatt-hour..........
