In fact, your post was inspiring to me, as it seemed to reflect a (potentially widespread) view that Wotif is on the way down...

That's where I think the market has probably got it wrong. It's true webjet has a better business, in some ways, but as far as I can see, travel and booking is not a winner-takes-all market.

In fact, I'm thinking that wotif has a decent chance to improve things a bit. I have a feeling that they advertise less, too, although that may be incorrect. Either way, I don't think being second best in this particular market is fatal to a company. Apple was once second best to Microsoft.
