It has been a very long awaited pleasure to see Anvil post its first maiden profit. Over $US6 million net profit up 863%, revenue up 180%. Exploration gearing up in Vietnam and in the DRC.
Going through the reports, it is hard to find too many areas of concern, particularly compared to this time last year. I note previous posters comments and I'm sure Anvil Management will be able to provide further details to any area of interest. The AGM is certaintly one forum, but I'm sure an email will be just as good. They do have a new Investor Relations contact.
It has been one hell of an improvment in just a year, and with Stage II finally comissioned, "the money maker" and several areas of interest to be examined, I suspect that in another year, we will see further significant financial improvements.
Celebrate the achievements, because it was not long ago that very few thought Anvil would ever make it. There were some critics out there, who thought Anvil would never make $60,000 profit let alone $6 million.
It is also been interesting to see Anvil emerge from a shoestring explorer to producer with growing revenues. Again, thanks to Anvil Mangement. The groundwork and strategic preparation needed to start not just a logistically difficult mine, but to achieve something that can fundamentally change, and make a small company something significant, I believe is well underway.
Thanks for all the contributions to this AVM board. If it wasn't for the passion some holders have for this company, it would be a dull board. And that is what makes these results that much sweater.
