The proposed powers station is adjacent to the Songwe-Kiwira coal field and is also close to the existing power grid.
I understand the size of the power station will be driven not by local demand, but by the capacity of the transmission system back to Dar Es Salaam.
I beleive this system is being upgraded through world bank investment.
The real short term growth for this company in Tanzania lies in its capacity to sell either coal or power into Malawi and Zambia ex Songwe.
The Asean deals will dwarf Tanzania if Robertson can sort out the reserves in Laos and Vietnam.
