eGlobal International Limited (ASX:"EGI") ("eGlobal") is pushing
ahead with its corporate restructuring process with the appointment
of a new chairman Mr Jim Goldburg and a new director Mr Barry
O'Rourke.
The new board appointments follow eGlobal's distribution of its
40,000,000 shares in gaming group eBet Limited to eGlobal ordinary
shareholders. The distribution of the eBet asset signals a fresh, new
beginning for eGlobal as a publicly-listed entity in its own right.
eGlobal managing director Gordon Chalmers said Mr Goldburg and Mr
O'Rourke both bring extensive international business experience and
management expertise to eGlobal.
"Moving out of the shadows of eBet with a new board structure
provides a great opportunity to fully focus on driving our business
forward," he said.
Mr Goldburg was a founding executive director of Australia's largest
travel retailer Flight Centre Ltd. He has more than 20 years
financial experience in the retail, travel and hospitality
industries, 16 of those with Flight Centre Ltd including positions as
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer and is currently
an alternate director of the group.
Mr Goldburg now has a variety of business interests in property
development and investment and currently sits on a number of boards,
including positions with Cellnet Telecommunications Group Ltd,
Northstate Capital Limited and the Mater Medical Research Institute.
Non-executive director Mr Barry O'Rourke a a qualified lawyer and
brings widespread international business experience to eGlobal.
He was a merchant banker in London for 10 years, worked in the United
Kingdom, America and Hong Kong, and was previously a major
shareholder of Ausdoc at the time of its listing on the Australian
Stock Exchange.
Mr O'Rourke is currently involved in a variety of business
interests, including investments in biotechnology company Delta,
Diversified Industrial Services and Sunshine Foods.
