Daz - at the risk of disagreeing, consolidation, as I understand it, is when a price moves sideways on diminishing volume - like BMN has been doing.
When price oscillates up and down in a sideways direction on LARGE volumes, then that is a period of indecision, and it could break either way.
Also, I don't know how you can say that there is no evidence of the uranium sector moving up - look at stocks like PDN, AGS, ACB and many others. All up tens of percentage points on only a couple of weeks ago.
The spot price does affect sentiment, but that is also about to move back up - see the TradeTech site (www.tradetech.com) with buyers starting to move back into the market. You and I both know that most uranium deals are NOT done on the spot market - in fact less than 5% of uranium traded is on the spot market. The current producers, like ERA, PDN etc are not affected by the spot price - they use the long term contract price.
Nope - I see the uranium sector as starting the big bounce back, and I suspect that this next bull run will make 2006/7 look like a tiny blip! Of course there will be ups and downs, but the trend will be well and truly up.
