Surely its more than that. 3000Hp worth of diesel, 30 Gallon per hour, worth of energy translates to a bigger cell than 10 times a BEV. The average BEV has a 60KW/h battery. If the haul truck carries a 1.4MWh battery and the chemistry isnt any more efficient than the BEV batteries, then 60KWh goes into 1,400KWh a whopping 23 times! Trouble is the diesel variant carries enough fuel for 40 hours of regular operation (CAT 797) whereas the electric haul truck needs charging several times per shift at great manual handling due to the cable sizes. Being able to charge in 30mins requires 2.8MW of renewable energy source available on demand so wind is out. Perhaps they are not doing night shift anymore?!
