A heap Leach trial is to begin. It will take 2 years to complete the trial based on Caldag experience.
The report talks of WIN WIN "So long as the trial leach works" The article mentions this "IF" several times, then mentions a second condition- the trial must be able to be scaled up.
Note that RMLs ore has a much higher clay content so there is no guarantee the trial will be sucessfull.
Its a very brief look at the project, costs are not examined although to be fair its difficult to predict them 7-10 years ahead.
Remember Caldag technology is yet to prove itself in full production scale and apparently it will be 2011 before full production is reached.
Also its worth noting that the three most recent valuations of European nickel (I only read the last 3) do not add any valuation on account of the venture with RML, which makes sense as there is much work and many years before anythng concrete can be decided.
