MTA is for 'initial in vitro testing', so am i reading it wrong or is there the real possibility that after successful testing they will move onto another round of testing in vivo?

I'm pretty sure a lot of holders on HC are expecting a commercial agreement/takeover/whatever from 3M after this MTA deadline.
