Being closer to news release, it's only natural that some investors/traders pull out just in case there are bad news. This trend has happened to stocks that were two or three days from becoming multibaggers as well as stocks that released news that were not expected by the market.
Either way, it's only natural before we get any news we get a rollercoaster ride that has ups and downs!
