Think about it, MM bids $45m conditional on due diligence,takes 6 weeks to do due diligence and then wants another 2 months which just happens to expire after the Amcol bid of $41m falls over. You don't think that MM would amend their bid and undercut Amcol's bid price once they have withdrawn ie "based on due diligence we now want the price to be much less than $41m", they were just trying to steal it for less than what it worth
